What This Graph Tells Us
This graphs shows us the number of participants each quarter enrolled in Skagit County therapeutic court programs compared to our target goal of 84 participants (red line).
Why This Measure Matters
Therapeutic courts address the root causes of criminal behavior and offer behavioral health treatment and support instead of just punishment. They’re proven to reduce recidivism and cost less than the traditional criminal justice system and help people rebuild their lives.
What’s the Story?
Skagit County offers three therapeutic court options: Community Court, Adult Drug Court, and Family Recovery Court. Drug Court is no longer accepting new participants and will wind down in 2026.
