What This Graph Tells Us
This graph tells us the percentage of bridges in Skagit County which are rated good, fair, or poor.
Measure Status Legend
Green: Poor bridge condition <=2% of all County bridges
Yellow: Poor bridge condition <=5% of all County bridges
Red: Poor bridge condition >5% of all County bridges
Why This Measure Matters
Report number of bridges with conditions assessed as good, fair, or poor as an overall indicator of maintenance needs and health. Bridges generally have a 75 year life expectancy before improvements are required to maintain the desired level of performance.
What’s the Story?
Beginning in 2025, bridge status reporting changed from sufficiency rating to conditions assessed as good, fair, or poor with intent to provide an overall indication of maintenance needs and projections.
Target
No more than 5% of bridges to be assessed in Poor condition.
