On Target 3.3.c. Drop-in, low-barrier, night-by-night shelter capacity

What This Graph Tells Us

This graph shows us the number of drop-in, low-barrier, night-by-night shelter available in Skagit County.

Why This Measure Matters

When people have nowhere safe to sleep, they need to find a shelter that can take them in the moment. All of our shelter programs operate using the Coordinated Entry system, a list that scores people based on their vulnerability, placing those who are most vulnerable into open shelter beds first. Many people are on the list for months, if not years. Some people never receive services.

What’s the Story?

Skagit County currently has no drop-in, night-by-night shelter beds.

Target

Our target is 50 beds by the end of 2026, adding 30 more beds by 2029, and another 30 beds by 2032.
