This graph shows us the number of trainings and exercises hosted by Skagit County Department of Emergency Management. 

Why This Measure Matters​

  • Demonstrates Preparedness & Capability: Shows stakeholders, elected officials, and the public that our organization is actively building readiness and leading the charge in community resilience.
  • Supports Operational Readiness: Confirms our team and partners are regularly practicing their roles, improving response speed and coordination during real events.
  • Supports Continuous Improvement: Helps identify gaps in plans, procedures, and personnel performance to inform future training needs
  • Meets Grant & Accreditation Requirements: Many funding sources and programs (like EMPG) require documentation of training and exercise activity to maintain eligibility.
