What This Graph Tells Us
This graph shows us the percentage of roads in Skagit County which are rated good, fair, and poor.
Measure Status Legend
Green: Good pavement condition >=90% of all County roads
Yellow: Good pavement condition >= 80% of all County roads
Red: Good pavement condition <80% of all County roads
Why This Measure Matters
Pavement surface condition is rated in segment lengths as Good, Fair, or Poor, regardless of the surface type or material used. The County prioritizes major collector and access roads over local access, and primarily uses chip and seal to extend road service life while improving condition.
What’s the Story?
Minimize the quantity of road segments rated as Poor by addressing this need first.
Target
At least 90% of total county road miles assessed in good condition.
Reporting Frequency
Annually
